Charlottesville Ballet has acquired Ecclesia School of the Arts MV LLC. The school will continue serving Lynchburg families under its new name, Lynchburg Ballet Academy.

Opened in 2026, Lynchburg Ballet Academy (LBA) is an official training school of the Charlottesville Ballet, Charlottesville’s professional dance company whose mission is to elevate the art of dance through wellness, performance, education, and community outreach. LBA offers training in numerous dance genres for ages 1.5 through adult and offers performance opportunities for young dancers alongside the professional company.
Chance To Dance
Chance To Dance (C2D) is an after-school outreach program for grades K-5 that gives under-served children a hands-on experience with the arts. The Ballet partners with local public schools in both Charlottesville and Albemarle County and students are selected to receive lifetime scholarships to train at CBA.
