Health and safety are our top priorities. Please review LBA’s arrival/dismissal policy, parent observation policy, and sick policy listed below.

ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL & PARENT OBSERVATION

Arrival/Dismissal at the LBA ACOA Location:

Parent Observation:

Parents are welcome to stay in the LBA lobby to observe during class if they prefer (preferably only one adult per student, plus a sibling if necessary). All other parents may either drop-off their child or may come in with their child and then return to their vehicle to limit capacity inside the lobbies. Please note our lobbies have limited seating. Parents are not permitted inside the studios to observe.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

  • Regular, punctual attendance is important to a dancer’s progress!
  • Parents/Guardians must report all absences prior to class time. Parents may call the studio or email [email protected].
  • Students are welcome to make up any missed classes in another age-appropriate class of the same level during the same session.
    • No refund or credit is given for missed classes.
    • Make-ups may be taken in the same genre as a student’s scheduled class, but students are also welcome to explore other genres.
    • Please contact the front desk or email [email protected] to schedule a make-up class.
  • If the student is injured and cannot actively participate, they should observe class. Much can be learned from observation, and it is important that the student keeps up with their classmates.
  • Students arriving 15 minutes or more after the class start time may be required to watch, for the dancer’s safety.
  • Students in the By Placement Division must be enrolled in the required classes (as outlined in the Class Requirements table), unless granted an exception by LBA Leadership.
  • If a student does not attend classes for 3 months consecutively without prior written communication, LBA reserves the right to automatically drop the student from their class(es).

SICK POLICY

Students may NOT attend class in-person at the studio if they have any of the following symptoms within the previous 24 hours:

  • Fever of at least 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Rash
  • Head Lice
  • Pink Eye
  • Hospital Stay/Sick Visit to the Doctor

If your student or someone in your household tests positive for COVID-19, or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive, please follow all CDC recommendations.

SPRING PERFORMANCE POLICIES

  • If your student is not able or does not wish to perform, please email Operations Managing Director, Cordelaine Klyne, at [email protected] as soon as you know that your student will be unable to participate in the annual academic year Spring Performance for Children’s Division and Up classes.
  • If a student is absent from 10 or more classes, LBA reserves the right to remove the student from their Spring Performance dance without refund or credit of previously assessed fees.
    • Please note that attendance in April and May is especially important as classes rehearse their dances and we near the date of the Spring Performance.
  • A Costume Rental Fee of $35 per performing class will be charged on November 1 (if registering after November 1, this fee will be charged with the first month’s tuition). This fee is put towards the rental of the student’s costumes for the Spring Performance. You will not be charged the Costume Rental Fee if you email LBA by October 30. No refunds or credits will be made once the fee is paid, even if students are unable to participate in the Spring Performance.
  • A Spring Performance Fee of $50 per student ($25 per sibling) will be assessed on March 1 for each student at CBA that participates in the Spring Performance. Tickets will be FREE for the Spring Performance. You will not be charged the Spring Performance Fee if you email LBA by February 28. No refunds or credits will be made once the fee is paid, even if students are unable to participate in the Spring Performance.
  • Attendance at dress rehearsal is mandatory. Students need only attend during their class’ rehearsal time.
  • All students are required to stay for the full performance. No students will be dismissed before the end of the show.
